According to Business Insider by the year 2020 more than 40 per
cent of the American workforce will be working for themselves. In fact,
the number of small or personal businesses will increase to more than 7
million.
That's an amazing statistic and one you should seriously
consider if you want to start a home business. A lot of people are put
off by the idea that they have to be a whiz kid on the computer or have
some sort of programming skills to run a business from home. But this
is simply not the case.
In fact, there is a great need for simple services around your own community like:
- secretarial services
- bookkeeping services
- child minding services
- dog walking services
- dog & cat sitting services
- cleaning services
- entertainment cooking services
- private tutoring services
You *DO* have talents,
skills and knowledge about something, that's for sure. Believe it or
not, you'd be surprised just how much work is out there for small
home-business owners who can provide a friendly, professional local
service to residents in their own town or city.
Once you've
decided what type of business you want to run then do some research on
Google and find out if you need any special permits, qualifications or
even training.
Your local community college may offer further training on lots of vocational courses for a reasonable investment.
Remember,
you are investing in your future here, full-time jobs may not always be
available so you need to start planning ahead. With a little time and
effort you could have your home-based business up and running in just a
short time.
Never forget the importance of marketing your services
once you start trading. Use every method you can think of, online and
offline, to promote your business.
You'll find 'word of mouth' is
one of the best ways to pick up new business, especially in your local
community and referrals will really skyrocket your success. Let's face
it, we all want to find good people to help us, without all the hassle
of advertising or being let down.
A great place to meet others who
are doing what you want to do is by attending local Meet-up groups and
networking with people who can promote your services and you can do the
same for them. For example, a busy Mum might use your services as a
private tutor for her school aged children, but may also need a cleaner.
Cross-promotion is a great way to find new clients.
v Turn $00 into $5k soon
Check it out, and thank me when you make
some nice amount!
